Dr Shamim Reza Farooq has a special interest in skin cancer medicine.
He concentrates on the careful examination and diagnosis of ‘spots’ (especially those of concern to the patient or their GP), photography of the concerned lesions and skin cancer surgery. He has completed a Professional Certificate and Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine.
Dr Farooq has been working in Australia for the last 12 years. He did his residency in Wollongong and Blacktown-Mount Druitt hospital. He has worked at Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Anaesthetics and Cardiology.
In his leisure time, he enjoys photography, watching cricket and spending time with his family.
