Dr Richard Tobin has practiced in Skin Cancer Medicine for the past ten years. He practices and teaches in the field, concentrating on careful examination and accurate diagnosis of ‘spots’ (especially those of concern to the patient), lesion photography and skin surgery.
He graduated in 1993 in Dundee, Scotland and completed GP training in 1997. He undertook additional training and qualifications in dermatology. He was on the staff of the Dermatology department in Stirling, Scotland before relocating to Perth, Australia where he ran a large skin cancer practice for the last decade.
He has recently been appointed Medical Director at Darlinghurst Medical Centre in Central Sydney and is regularly involved in training medical students and doctors in training. He is an examiner at University of Notre Dame Medical School, Fremantle and has previously collaborated in research trials in the field of skin cancer.
His special interests include skin cancer, dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery.
